The San Francisco Center for the Book is seeking applications for a new Executive Director
The non-profit San Francisco Center for the Book is a book arts center that offers classes in letterpress printing, bookbinding, and artists’ bookmaking. In addition to classes and workshops which attract both a local and national audience and community events, the Center has a thriving exhibition program. The Center has mounted over 127 book arts exhibitions featuring local, national and international book artists.

The Center has an annual budget of $1,000.000; a staff of 6 full-time employees, 2 part-time, and 35 faculty members; and a recently renovated building. The dedicated staff are passionate and experienced.

The Executive Director reports to the President of the Board and will bring leadership, management skills, and strategic direction to SFCB by overseeing its financial resources and implementing its short and long-term strategic plans.
