Hi Deborah,

chiming in to ask if you've tried reaching out to Bindery Tools online
auction branch https://www.highbidswin.com .  I didn't see any chases in
their latest online auction, but they may have a few in storage that they
would be willing to sell individually.

Best,

eliza

Hi Deborah,

I have a similar problem and I am afraid there is no easy solution. The
chases are self-centering and very difficult to get. They have to be the
same thread count and diameter as what you have. You just need to call
machinists and ask if they can help. If the rods are bent you may be able
to have them straighten them out, although that is iffy. Don’t try it
yourself. You have to be careful not to stress the metal and break it.

By the way, hope you are doing well.

Peter

Kindly advise. I have a few line chases that when still hot, dropped on
the floor causing a bend in the screw used to tighten the lettering. I was
wondering if anyone knew of a machinist that would be capable of replacing
the screw?

Thank you in advance for your help.
