GBW was contacted by the O*NET Data Collection Program seeking volunteers from the Print Binding and Finishing workers to fill out a survey on employment - see letter below. O*NET is a non-profit sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment & Training Administration and is the nation’s primary source of occupational information. I have spoken with Joann Ochoa several times about this survey. All information collected will be kept private and is non-specific to a particular business or individual; it is general information about what the jobs entail. I know some of our members have filled out the survey before concerning conservation work so this is a legitimate organization. May set up binding and finishing machines. For O*NET data collection purposes, Occupational Experts usually have five or more years of experience with an occupation. We then select a random sample and call them to request their participation. We explain the O*NET program to them and ask if they voluntarily would be willing to help us with this research by completing a few questionnaires about their work. Any information provided is kept strictly private. A random sample of respondents will be invited to complete an online questionnaire. Participants will receive a $75 token of appreciation upon submission, redeemable as a gift card or charitable donation.
