October 10-December 19, 2023 | Tuesdays | 11 sessions

This year’s topic is crafting a leather fine binding that is rounded but
not backed. This is a more gentle way of forwarding that has its roots
in Medieval binding. It is also a great solution for students who do not
have heavy binding equipment in their studios. Students will complete
one full leather binding with leather hinges and edge-to edge doublures,
multi-color sewn endbands, made endsheets with decorative paper, and
champhered boards.

The online format is a series of live tutorials via Zoom. The tutorials
are recorded and the videos are available to registered students for 90
days. Students need not be present for the live sessions. Zoom links
will be sent the week before class, and a tool list no later than three
weeks in advance.
