There are still some spaces left in my Titling by Hand workshop at the North Bennet Street School in Boston, MA Monday, August 18 - Friday, August 22. We'll cover titling with both handle letters and type-holders with brass type, focusing primarily on tooling on spines by building up impressions with blind tooling and then gilding them using a shellac size, as well as using pigment foils. Titling a book that you've spent a whole lot of time and effort binding can be daunting, but this workshop is structured and taught in a step-by-step process to overcome the difficulties in getting a clean and crisp title, as well as correcting mistakes. Everyone comes to a finishing workshop with different levels of practice, so I work with each student individually and make sure those with more experience are still pushed and challenged, while also setting a strong foundation for those without experience.

A registration link can be also found in my "workshops" page on my website or through the Continuing Education listings on the North Bennet Street School website at http://www.nbss.edu/
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out off-list.

All the best,
Sam
