Chapter/State boundaries?

Hi all,
I'm sure this has come up before, but not since I've been Chair. Everything
old is new again.

My chapter (Midwest) is HUGE. Some chapters are regions (both large and
small) and some are individual states. Is there a time when we might
reconfigure our Chapters and/or perhaps add some new ones to better serve
members in outlying or underserved areas? I'm thinking specifically in my
case of Indiana/Ohio/Kentucky/Michigan and some states that could be
considered "Great Plains" like the Dakotas, Nebraska, Kansas, etc. And what
about Alaska/Hawaii/Guam?

Thought I'd bring this up here to get context from folks who've been around
longer, and perhaps start a discussion.

Hi Lisa,

This is definitely something that is on my radar, especially after having
served as the Chapter Chair of the New England Chapter. NEGBW is not even
that big compared to some of the chapters and we still struggled to provide
at least some programming that was within reasonable distance for all of
our chapter members.

Currently, the big priority is the Chapter Handbook, which is getting quite
close and I think will be a really good resource for the chapters. As soon
as that is squared away I'm looking to turn my attention towards the size
and possibly the configuration of chapters. If anyone has any
suggestions/issues/problems on what Lisa has brought up I'd love to hear
about it.

Best,
Todd
