Hi Everyone,
I'm looking forward to seeing you all at the chapter chair meeting tonight.
The meeting will take place at 8:00 EST/5:00 Pacific and here's the link:
https://us06web.zoom.us/j/89301828566?pwd=pf5ByJ6C19VAlnm17SczPUTSSLzPHw.1
I'm very excited that the GBW communication chair, Insiya Dhatt, will be
joining us and that the GBW secretary, Jennifer Buchi, will also be in
attendance to take notes and can also answer questions you may have.
Let me know if you have any questions prior to the meeting.

Thanks chapter chairs - I appreciate your time so i can understand how you
run things:
Here are my follow up items:
1.) Add content that shows why members should join Chapters. This can be
part of the Chapter page and member benefits page
2.) In Membership confirmation email - remind members to join their local
chapters. Ideally it would be great if we could recommend the appropriate
chapter based on their location but with the tech we have we cannot.
3.) Can each chapter let me know if you want to create a group for your
chapter for communication? If I don't hear from you I will assume your
chapter doesn't want to use groups and will delete the group for now
4.) I encourage you to change your password to something stronger. Also
please check your settings folders to see who the email are being forwarded
to. A lot of times forwards are set up and forgotten. (If you need any help
let me know)
5. I will update the chapter handbook with some faqs.
6. I will send an email with directions on how to change your signature. So
it’s consistent across all GBW emails.
Lastly, if you can tell me how many in your team besides yourself need
access to the chapter documents in the board area - I can put a process in
place where your team members can be easily added and or removed without it
being linked to personal give account. Is the volunteer document the
correct document for finding names and emails?
Thanks and it was lovely meeting everyone today.

Rebecca,
Was the email to your personal email or gbw California chapter email?
Since you forwarded the last spam, unfortunately you are on the list of
validated emails and will be a target - did you report spam for that email?
Keep doing that and don’t interact and don’t forward it to anyone.
So sorry, it’s so annoying and I wish I could be of more help than say
‘report as spam’
They keep using Kate’s email because a lot of people have responded or
forwarded that email back to Kate. We had the same thing happen at
Handbookbinders.org with board@hbc email and using Juliayn’s email - almost
fell for it myself. But it died down pretty quickly.
Thanks
