My name is Marissa and I'm with St. Martin's Press Publishing, a division
of Macmillan. I'm reaching out about a fascinating novel I'm working on
called *The Bookbinder's Secret
https://us.macmillan.com/books/9781250412645/thebookbinderssecret/, *which
follows a young bookbinder who discovers a confession hidden beneath the
binding of a burned book that reveals a story of forbidden love, lost
fortune, and murder. What begins as a diverting intrigue quickly becomes a
dangerous pursuit that may cost her everything.
Author A. D. Bell provides rich descriptions of the bookbinding processes
of the turn of the century and immerses readers in the world of eccentric
booksellers, unscrupulous collectors, and the dusty archives of London's
society papers. The Bookbinder's Secret is really a love letter to books
and those who love them.
I wondered if there may be an opportunity to share this book with the
talented members of your Guild of Bookworkers, particularly those who
specialize in bookbinding, restoration and design binding. I would love to
send finished copies to any who would be interested in receiving one.
If anyone is interested in receiving a copy, please email
marissa.sangiacomo@stmartins.com with the subject line "Guild of Book
Workers - The Bookbinders Secret Request" and include their name and
mailing address.
Best,
Marissa
